2009-2010 SPMS GEOMETRY CLASS
WELCOME TO GEOMETRY, the highest level math class offered at SPMS.  Our text and primary resource is GEOMETRY, published by McDougal- Littell.

The students have an assignment sheet on which they record their assignments and grades.
The key to success in this class is the same as any math class.  Do the assignment the day it is presented in class, not the night before it is due.  Ask questions.  Take advantage of extra credit problem solving opportunities.

  2005-2006
2007-2008
SEPTEMBER 2009
Each month we celebrate mathematical excellence.  For the month of September, amid the roar of bulldozers in the background, Nicolai, Sami, Aaron, and Vijay treated to the class to delicious and healthy refreshments and exercise.
Week of Dec 10 Update:  We have completed Chapter 5.  We will finish Chapter 6, with a focus on Geometric Inequalities prior to vacation.
OCTOBER 2009
Each month we celebrate mathematical excellence.  For the month of October, Hee Jin, Jennifer, Michael, Jamie and Patricia  treated us to Pi Juice and Organic Cake.  Under the watchful eye of Mr. Yim Sr and Mr. Yim Jr we also focused on Geometric techniques of bully prevention,  a common concern for math nerds everywhere.
NOVEMBER 2009
Each month we celebrate mathematical excellence.  For the month of November, Marcy, Samuel, Matthew, Henry, and Nathan insisted that the class work for their treats. The studnets had to solve a system of equations before indulging in a delicious Tower cake.  With some extra whipping cream left over, Nathan and Karinna went to war...with Karinna winning.
DECEMBER 2009
Brad Risser of Flir Corporation, a world leader in thermographic technology, visited our class and explained the mathematics and science involved in his field of expertise.  All the students were photographed thermographically and will have a nice Christmas card to send to relatives.  Thanks, Brad!
